Municipality of Paravolas

The Municipality of Parabolas is located at the northern part of Trihonidas Lake at the hillsides of Panaitoliko Mt. where it belongs at the Prefecture of Aitoloakarnania.

It offers areas for strolls at beautiful valleys and at the southern part of the municipality you can admire the wonderful view of Trihonidas Lake.

In the Municipality someone can see the ancient castle “Voukatio”, which is built from the times of Aitolikis Confederacy with a church of 11^th A.C. and also the ancient “Fistion“.

At the archeological castle is lodging the bar “KASTRO CAFÉ “ in which dominates the green, the quality, the peacefulness, the impeccable atmosphere, drinking our coffee or eating the food that is cooking this moment, allowing us to select the view to the mountain or to the Trihonida Lake.

At the Municipal District that is called Peristeri operates a mountainous shelter at the height of 1.800 m.

Close to the lake someone can find cafes and hotel with good service and rooms that are shaped in a way as to see towards the lake.

At the built-up area of Baria there is the “ Xylino“, café – restaurant with magnificent view.

Going up towards Panaitoliko we meet the built-up area of Kallithea with café-tavern that has panoramic view and a hotel.

During going towards Proussos (it is about 35 km far fron the Municipality of Paravolas) there are many traditional taverns inside the plane and the fir-trees and beside the abundant water.

At the center of Paravola there are also grill-houses with beautiful atmosphere and traditional tidbits.
