Welcome to Futura Hotel Apartments
Futura Hotel is a modern art deco styled complex consisting of studios and apartments, the hotel complex is set amongst lush colourful landscaped gardens giving it, its private yet homely village style ambiance. It is centrally situated in the quiet coastal village of Maleme overlooking the sea with the soaring White Mountains behind in the distance. It is only a 5-minute drive by bus or taxi to the popular busy tourist village of Platanias where there is a buzz of activities with its abundance of taverns, clubs, bars and much souvenir shopping.
Maleme is located 15km from the main town of Chania westward along the very popular developed tourist area where everyone wants to be whilst on holiday. We have a long beach with a new promenade good for cycling, walks and pushchairs dotted with a variety of fish taverns set in grassed surroundings with playground equipment to entertain the children. Inland towards the hills of Maleme it is also pleasant to walk, drive or cycle to see the olive/orange groves and vineyards. Maleme village is historically known for the "Invasion of Crete" during the Second World War and to commemorate the many German paratroopers who lost their lives there is a war memorial on the hillside overlooking the airport. From Maleme it is a good positioning point to explore the famous exotic blue beaches of Falasarna, Gramvousa and Elafonisi, which all lie westward.

The main town of Chania is good to go in the late afternoon for a walk to the Venetian harbour with its rich history, museums, quaint cobbled streets, and its many interesting alleys filled with taverns and souvenir shops.
The Chania Region which is the western part of the island has its own unique natural lush beauty with its soaring mountain ranges/gorges, the most exotic blue beaches on Crete, its many small mountainous villages with their own Cretan charm.

The hotel accommodation comprises of 56 studios & apartments.
All rooms (studio/apartments) are modern in design, marble floors, fully air conditioned/heated and are equipped with a safe, fridge, stove, kitchen facilities, satellite television, music channel, direct dial telephones & a hair dryer. The rooms can accommodate a baby cot (on request) as well as an emergency fold up bed.
The studios are a ONE bed roomed apartment with a small living room, which has a couch/sofa bed a small dining table, kitchen facilities, and a fridge. They are suitable for 2 persons or 2 persons with a child under 12 years. (They are 30-35 meters in size) They are located on the ground floor with a small garden, only one is located upstairs.
The apartments are a larger one bed roomed suite, (50 sq meters) with a separate bedroom and lounge area with 2 couches, which can be converted into two full sized beds. It is suitable for 2 persons as a suite or a family of 2 adults and two children. The lounge area has a dining table, kitchen facilities and a fridge. The apartments that are situated on the ground floor have their own small garden with a garden table and chairs. Those not situated on the ground have verandahs/balconies. Some apartments have sea views others garden views. There are also smaller apartments suitable for 2 & 3 persons on the upper levels with large balconies/terraces.
