AGRO.VI.M. was established in 1994 and is a

continuation of A. Gyfteas founded in 1964

 

Its first years of operation the enterprise processed mainly olive oil, from the region of Kalamata, with a medium annual turnover approx 600.000 Euros.

 

• In 1998, the company promoted investment programs for the 

    improvement of its productivity, the quality of products and the

    extension of company in new markets.

 

• In 2000 promoted new investments for the modernization and

    improvement of the international competitiveness of enterprise.

 

Still today, although it operates under the latest marketing standards, remains a family owned company.

 

AGROVIM turnover arrives up to 25 millions of Euros.

               Retail packing : up to 5 lit

**** The company packs and exports up to 2.000 tons to approx. 30 countries all around the world.

****Bulk : The company exports great quantities ( approx. 5000 tons in 2004) of bulk olive oil mainly to Italy, and consequently has a great experience in the selection of quality extra virgin olive oil and influence in the local markets

 

• Greek Olives in brine or olive oil (Kalamata, Black, Green).

**** In retail packs : jars and tins. For catering, loose : in tins or barrels

 

• Greek Stuffed olives in brine.

• Kalamata olive spread.

• Assortments of Olive Oil in combination with vinegars or Lemon Juice

• Other Greek gourmet specialties such as Vine Leaves stuffed with rice in olive oil

QUALITY ASSURANCE FUNCTION

The Quality Assurance Department is a service organisation which provides technical expertise to assist manufacturing in the production of high quality  goods at optimum efficiency. A fully equipped laboratory is functioning inside the company΄s facilities.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES : 

• Testing and Analysis : raw materials, packaging components , finished goods, vendor 

  audits, etc, using    up-to-date instruments and techniques.

 

• Documentation : Manage ISO 9001 & HACCP procedures, final product specifications etc.

 

• Plant  Sanitation : The plant  sanitation is performed under the QA Supervisor  as well as

 the pest control program. Plant audits are done, as well as audits of the plants of vendors.

 

• Occupation Health & Safety.
