1.      Cosmetic surgery is carried out to refine and reshape structures of the body and face in order to improve one’s appearance, confidence and self-esteem.

A number of aesthetic surgery procedures are available to enhance the contours of your body in areas that have previously proved resistant to diet and/or exercise. These procedures take place at nearby private hospitals in Central Athens chosen for their high standards of comfort and care. Facial rejuvenation procedures such as injectable materials take place at the doctor's practice and are generally quick and simple. These treatments help combat the signs of ageing, and we use all the latest products and techniques to enhance your facial contours, reduce lines, wrinkles or create beautiful lips.Whatever your unique situation, we can create the appearance you thought only the celebrities could afford, or the smoother, better look you thought you would no longer be able to have.

2.      Reconstructive surgery is undertaken where abnormalities in the structure of the body and face have occurred due to trauma, burn , congenital (birth) anomalies, breast surgery, tumor extirpation, with a view to enhancing one's body and/or facial functionality and appearance.

It is argued that more than 1.000.000 reconstructive procedures are performed by surgeons every year in the USA. Reconstructive surgery helps patients of all ages and types: - whether it is a child with a birth defect, a young person after an accident a middle aged person with a tumor.

The goals of reconstructive surgery differ from those of cosmetic surgery. Reconstructive surgery is performed to correct deformities after trauma, infection, tumors, or a birth defect in the face, hands or body. Generally, it is performed to improve functionality and appearance.

There are two main categories of patients:

Those who have congenital deformities in the face (cleft-lip or palate deformities), hands (syndactyly, polydactyly) or body (breast absent, abnormal breast development, Poland syndrome) and those who developed a deformity later in life after trauma, burn, or after the removal of tumor (mastectomy).

Some patients find reconstructive surgery as a cosmetic procedure as well, (i.e. back & shoulder pain caused by large breasts, facial symmetry after paralysis of the facial nerve, the uplift of the eyelid that covers part of the eye etc.)

Reconstructive procedures are different for each patient and discussed extensively with the surgeon.

About our medical practice

Our medical practice is located at 17 Dimitriou Soutsou in Central Athens, which is also within walking distance from the Hilton hotel and Holiday Inn. The nearest tube station is Megaro Mousikis (Mavili Square) next to the American Embassy.

As well as having our consulting room, where clinical examination, digital photo shooting and the computer simulation of the post-operative result take place, we also have a hygienic and comfortable procedure room for the change of gauze bandages and other treatments such as “injectable materials” used for the combat of wrinkles.

Appointments are arranged by our office manager on  +30210 64 01 004 and is available 24hours, seven days a week.

Our hospitals offer a high level of medical care with friendly and highly educated medical personnel.

Plastic surgery & software technology

It is well known that plastic surgery is designed to correct body and facial deformities that occurred naturally, either from birth or developed later in life. The surgeon will discuss, plan and eventually agree with the candidate upon the right treatment and/or procedure.

The surgeon, in an effort to explain the anticipated result with the candidate, charts artistically on the candidate’s picture with a view to producing an approximation of the potential outcome. This is extremely useful as it helps the candidate to manage his/her expectations, thus resulting in a satisfying and exhilarating feeling.

Since the 80’s, the traditional tactics used to achieve the above simulation were the analysis of photos for people whom undergone similar procedures (such as Jack Sheen, UCLA, Los Angeles), especially for rhinoplasty and genioplasty cases, whereas Peter Mc Kinney at Chicago (personal communication) uses an anatomic nose similitude in conjunction with his photo gallery. Similarly, plastic surgeons all over the world adopt similar tactics.

Computers and the latest technological advancements solved many of the aforementioned problems.

We use sophisticated computer simulated programs (software) in line with digital technology to illustrate the different types of simulated results in order to help our candidates make informed decisions and manage their expectations.

The above process represents a valuable guide not only for the surgeon but also for the candidate who can see the possible simulated results on screen.

We want to empower and assist you as you explore the possibilities of how plastic and cosmetic surgery can change your life.
