No, you do not need to have a subscription to any company of Internet services provided. You will only need a telephone line (PSTN or ISDN), a computer, and a modem.

The service is provided all over Greece.

What speed of Internet connection is offered?

The connection of the service operates at a speed of 56 Kbps for PSTN connections and 64 or 128 Kbps for ISDN connections.

How can I pay for the calls?

The charge is made according to the billing policy of OTE (the public telephone company) for local calls and is included within the next bill of OTE.

Is it profitable for me to be connected to the Internet through this service?

If you occasionally use the Internet, this service is totally profitable for you provided that it allows you to be connected without any complex processes, without the commitment of buying an Internet card, and mostly without subscriptions and fixed charges. It is you who will define the time and the cost of your Internet access.  

Do I have to use the service for a few hours each month?

No, you do not have such a limitation or obligation.

Which are the advantages of the service?

-There is no fixed charge on a monthly base.

- You do not need to buy an Internet access card.
- You are not charged with prepaid Internet subscriptions.
- You are not concerned with processes such as signing contracts in order to achieve Internet access.

Can I use this specific service on the Internet if I have an ADSL connection;

Of course, you can use this service to the Internet as dial-up auxiliary connection (back-up). As a consequence of this, you are released from the commitment of paying monthly subscriptions for back-up connections which probably you will never use while in the same time you are charged only for the time you make use of the auxiliary connection, if or when you need it.
